Engineering Assistant

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mining, manufacturing, or engineering environment (apprenticeship/learnership included) – Graduates welcome to apply.
• Bachelors qualification in Engineering studies (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics) or equivalent. (Diploma and N-courses will be considered based on experience)
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or mechanical systems will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems and Safety Management Systems
• Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office, Projects, CAD/Draughting Experience will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and good communication skills in English.
• Commitment to safety, quality, continuous learning and ptitude to conduct quality inspections
• Flexibility, willingness to travel to customer sites from time to time
• Support engineers and artisans in daily workshop and field service operations.
• Support with the assembly, repair, and maintenance of mining equipment and components.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support operations by preparing reports, technical documentation, and quality control checklists.
• Medically fit and Own transport.
