Control and Instrumentation Engineer

A multi-discipline engineering and construction company based in Secunda is currently looking for a Control and Instrumentation Engineer.

• Knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, industrial protocols, and communication networks.
• Solid understanding of control theory, instrumentation principles, and process automation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI).
• Knowledge of Functional Safety.
• Knowledge of Intrinsic Safety.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (beneficial).
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Knowledge of Instrument Procurement & Inspection (beneficial).
• Knowledge of Honeywell DCS and ESD systems and interfacing with Honeywell.
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Code B/EB) and the ability to drive vehicles with a manual transmission.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure.

• BEng/BSc in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Previous work experience in Basic, Detailed design (Datasheets, Loop drawings, Cable schedules/Block Diagram, RAT List, C&E & Narratives) or construction projects for the Oil and Gas sector.
• 5+ years’ experience in Control and Instrumentation.
• Experience in Sasol plants will be beneficial.
