Job Description:

Hire Resolve’s Client are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join their mining team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations within our mining operations, ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely. The Engineering Supervisor will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to plan, implement, and monitor engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

– Supervise a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
– Develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures to ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
– Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work on mining equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
– Monitor and evaluate the performance of mining equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
– Troubleshoot and resolve any engineering issues that may arise during mining operations
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure that engineering projects are integrated into the overall mining operation
– Provide training and mentorship to junior engineering staff to develop their skills and expertise

Qualifications and

Experience:

– Grade 12 and a Valid Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the mining industry
– Knowledge of mining equipment and technologies
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

– Experience with budgeting and cost control
– Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in the mining industry
