Arcelor Mittal South Africa is recruiting for a Civil Engineer, AMSA Project Management - Vanderbijlpark (S4-A)

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Consulting, feasibility studies, site supervision, and quality control for construction projects.
• Cost control, estimates, cash flow predictions, and management.
• Document control and filing.
• Detail planning and execution of shutdowns and project programs.
• Progress control.
• Contract management for civil construction contracts at AMSA, including quantity surveying.
• Ensuring safety on site and compliance with all SHERQ-related requirements.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors.

• BEng/BSc Degree in Civil Engineering

• 2 years of experience in the Civil Engineering field and Project Management Principles.
• Proficiency in Civil Engineering and management skills.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws.
• Ability to interpret Engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Strong Mathematical skills
• Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills essential.

• Strong project and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in site supervision.
• Sound knowledge of the OHSA Act and Construction Regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
