Malaika House is looking for a passionate and experienced educator to join our team. We work with neurodivergent learners between the ages of 10 and 18 in a supportive, small-group environment that prioritises understanding, flexibility, and practical learning approaches.
We are looking for an educator who is able to think creatively about learning and who is comfortable adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of each individual learner.
- A qualification in Inclusive Education, Special Needs Education, Remedial Education, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
- Experience working with neurodivergent learners or learners with additional learning needs
- Ability to adapt curriculum and learning materials to suit different learning profiles
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think “outside the box” when supporting learning
- A learner-centred and compassionate approach
- Creativity in making learning practical, engaging, and multi-dimensional
- Ability to move beyond traditional teaching methods and make learning interactive and experiential
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A willingness to learn and grow within a neurodiversity-affirming environment
