We invite applications from accomplished, visionary educators for the position of Junior Primary School Principal
. This is a pivotal leadership role based at our Craighall Park campus, requiring a blend of academic rigour, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to our Catholic ethos.

We seek a sophisticated leader with a proven track record of experience within the high-functioning ecosystem of a premier independent school.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Faith & Mission Leadership: An active commitment to the Catholic faith (or a profound resonance with Mercy values), ensuring the school’s spiritual and ethical identity remains central to all operations.
• Educational Mastery: A distinguished teaching background, complemented by a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience specifically within Early Childhood Development and/or the Foundation Phase.
• Curriculum Innovation: The ability to lead staff in developing a cutting-edge, child-centred curriculum that exceeds CAPS requirements while integrating the school’s core values and the Mercy charism.
• Institutional Sophistication: Exceptional interpersonal and diplomatic skills suited to engaging with a highly invested parent body and professional stakeholders.
• Strategic Oversight: Proven competence in critical academic evaluation, staff mentorship, and the robust management of school budgets in collaboration with the Finance Office.
• Transformative Leadership: A proactive and authentic driver of diversity and inclusion, viewing transformation as an essential component of the school’s mission to uphold human dignity.

• Relevant academic and professional qualifications (minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education).
• A proven track record of leadership in a high-performing independent school.
