purpose of the position: to fill a vacancy and be responsible for teaching & learning, research and community engagement in the school of professional studies for the subject group, curriculum studies.

• teaching undergraduate modules.
• teaching and supervision: postgraduate.
• research publications.

• study guide and material development.
• support of research entity.
• initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.

• a phd in curriculum studies (nqf level 10).
• a minimum of five (5) years experience in higher education.
• have a proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education.
• author of articles/books/chapters in the field.

• have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
• demonstrate leadership in the field.
• involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
• record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.

• team worker.
• good interpersonal relations.
