job descriptionpurpose of the position: to fill a vacancy and be responsible for teaching & learning, research and community engagement in the school of professional studies for the subject group, curriculum studies.
key responsibilities- teaching undergraduate modules.
- teaching and supervision: postgraduate.
- research publications.
- community service.
- study guide and material development.
- support of research entity.
- initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.
- a phd in curriculum studies (nqf level 10).
- a minimum of five (5) years experience in higher education.
- have a proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education.
- author of articles/books/chapters in the field.
- have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
- demonstrate leadership in the field.
- involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
- record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.
- team worker.
- good interpersonal relations.
