PositionNHS Grampian Consultant Radiologist. The Radiology Department is advertising 2.5 Consultant Radiologist posts to strengthen our progressive and ambitious team. We are seeking dynamic individuals with the full range of skills expected of a General Radiologist, particularly in cross-sectional imaging. We welcome applicants with a subspecialty interest that complements our department, especially in:
- Chest Radiology
- Breast Radiology
- Dr Gray’s Hospital Service (Elgin)
- Gynae Radiology
- Uro-radiology
You will contribute to the weekend, evening, and on-call rota. Posts can be full-time or part-time, with a flexible approach to job planning and opportunities for additional EPAs.

Elgin, Moray – A place to work and live
Dr Gray’s Hospital opened originally in 1819, underwent extensive new building and renovation in to produce a modern, small district general hospital. Dr Gray’s is a 120-bed district general hospital which provides a full range of consultant-led healthcare specialties. The radiology department provides 3-month placements for radiology registrars. The opening of the nearby Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health brings together the expertise in Digital Healthcare and Life Sciences within the region and across Scotland.
The centre also offers clinical skills training and conference facilities for NHS Grampian staff and University of Aberdeen students.
Moray has many pleasant characteristics. Moray ranges from the shores of the Moray Firth to the foothills of the Cairngorms. Elgin has a strong cultural scene with wide and varied leisure options. Elgin is family-oriented and offers a comparatively peaceful quality of life. Elgin is only 65 miles from Aberdeen and 37 miles from Inverness, with good road/rail/air links.
The main local industries are farming, fishing, light industrial manufacturing and distilling. There are two large military bases within 10 miles of the hospital. The quality of life is high with relatively low property prices, recreational opportunities…
