Position: NR234609 - Clinical Fellow Vascular Surgery (ST3+)

Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a full‑time Clinical Fellow in Vascular Surgery (ST3+ Level). This is a fixed‑term post for 12 months. This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training. The successful applicant must be post MRCS or equivalent.

Training and Development

It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be trained in the Medical and Surgical management of Vascular Disease and will be taught open Vascular Surgical procedures to ST3-4 level depending on technical abilities & progress. CbD, DOPS and 360 Degree Appraisal will be used to assess progress. Additionally, basic Vascular Ultrasound and endovenous procedures will be taught. The successful applicant will be encouraged to enrol in the ISCP () to record operative log & WBA assessments.

Induction:
The Vascular Unit’s Induction booklet will be made available prior to commencement of the post. Training on GMC Good Medical Practice, Consent, Mental Incapacity, UK Medico‑Legal Issues and Equal Opportunities will be given. Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post).
