Job Description

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking on behalf of our client, an experienced Project Foreman based in Gauteng to oversee daily operations on site, ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and to specification.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, practical leader with strong trade experience who can manage teams, coordinate resources effectively, and maintain high quality standards across all tasks. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and contribute to the smooth execution of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate on-site workers and subcontractors

Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to team members

Ensure projects are completed according to drawings, specifications, and timelines

Monitor workmanship and maintain quality control on site

Enforce health and safety regulations at all times

Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers

Track progress and report site updates to management

Manage tools, equipment, and materials on site

Resolve on-site issues and ensure minimal downtime

Requirements
  • Matic
    - Grade 12
  • Proven experience as a foreman or senior trades person
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and site operations
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel between project sites

Advantageous (but not required)

  • Experience managing multiple sites or teams

Requirements
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (mandatory) Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings Basic computer skills (email, excel, reporting) Advantageous (but not required) Experience in field sales Knowledge of the local market Existing client network
