Commodity Buyer; Automotive Manufacturing

Position: Commodity Buyer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related commercial field (advantageous).

- 5 years or more purchasing experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.

- Automotive or technical manufacturing background preferred.

- Fully computer literate.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Customer-oriented with strong attention to detail.

- Willingness to travel when required.

- Kroschu purchasing/system experience advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure equipment, materials, tools, consumables and services as required.

- Create and manage purchase orders, confirm orders and track deliveries.

- Manage suppliers and monitor performance (cost, quality, service).

- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost efficiency.

- Conduct RFQs and sourcing activities based on internal specifications.

- Support demand planning and procurement forecasting.

- Ensure purchasing policies and procedures are followed.

- Maintain supplier databases and procurement documentation.

- Collaborate with Finance and Central Purchasing teams.
