Overview

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our client’s team on the mine in the Northern Cape. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement activities for our mining clients in the Northern Cape, ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials and services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all procurement activities for mining clients in the Northern Cape, including sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials and service.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to negotiate terms and ensure timely procurement of operating resources.
  • Utilize analytical skills to understand diverse scope requirements and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Apply logical reasoning to find solutions that align with both strategic and operational objectives of the company.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years in same or similar role in the Mining or Construction industry.
  • Diploma/Degree in Economics, Supply Chain, Accounting or related field
  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure and adhere to strict time deadlines.
  • Positive attitude towards handling diverse scope requirements and managing workload independently.
  • Adaptability to tight and changing deadlines in alignment with business needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and apply legal contract terms in procurement processes.
  • Financial acumen and business knowledge to develop effective pricing solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to support procurement activities.
