• Manage a team of junior accountants
• Review and plan the workflow of junior accountants
• Request and ensure that tax and financial statement information is received on time
• Compile, review and/or submit financial statements and tax returns accurately and on time
• Communication with clients providing updates on work in progress; send financial statements, tax assessments and SARS correspondence
• Consultations with clients regarding tax planning
• Take responsibility for the tax affairs of assigned client base
• SARS correspondence – respond to queries and notices promptly and professionally.
• Liaison with clients regarding financials and tax or any other queries
• Staying up to date on accounting and tax development (CPD)
• Ensure adherence to accounting and tax-related regulations and standards
• Time management, budgeting and meet targets

• SAIPA Registration as Professional Accountant with up to date CPD
• Registered Tax Practitioner
• Registration as an Independent Reviewer will be advantageous
• Accounting Degree (or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 3 years work experience within an accounting / auditing practice as manager Or minimum 2 years post articles
