Accountant - Pinetown

A well-established company in the digital security sector is seeking a qualified and hands-on Accountant to join their team in Pinetown. This role is suited to a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys being involved in the detail, values accuracy and compliance, and is comfortable operating independently within a small to medium-sized business environment.

• Full accounting function up to trial balance
• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• VAT calculations and submissions
• Payroll oversight and related statutory submissions
• Bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
• Monitoring cash flow and working capital
• Assisting with budgeting and financial forecasting
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements
• Liaising with auditors, tax practitioners, and external service providers
• Supporting management with financial reporting and analysis

• Relevant accounting qualification (BCompt, BCom Accounting, or equivalent)
• Completed articles or substantial practical accounting experience - essential
• Strong understanding of VAT, tax, and general accounting principles
• Experience working in a small to medium-sized business environment
• High attention to detail with a structured, methodical working style
• Confident using accounting systems and Excel
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function
• Strong communication skills and professional maturity
