Cost Accountant CIMA

Overview

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Cost Accountant for a Manufacturing Factory Plant based in the East Rand, Brakpan, Johannesburg Gauteng. The responsibility of the Cost Accountant is to assist management with analysing cost expenditures and purchases within the company, in order to maximise manufacturing profitability. This is a permanent position with benefits. R45-55k Basic + Benefits.

• Assist management with analysing cost expenditures and purchases within the company, in order to maximise manufacturing profitability.
• Monthly KPI calculations and consolidating factory results.
• Monthly sand drying analysis. Pricing of sand for article costing purposes, drier fuel efficiencies etc.
• Calculations of labour cost, transport cost etc. per unit.
• Preparation of Divisional Management Accounts (Paint and Construction Chemicals).
• Cost Centre accounting for shared services.
• Performing monthly costing runs, investigations, and analysis of raw material margins.
• Master data custodian. Responsible for creating new articles that needs to be maintained at different sites, costing calculations performed, rooting of articles.
• Maintaining existing articles. BOM changes, storage location changes, header quantity changes, MRP data changes etc.
• Extending articles for selling and distribution.
• Assisting Financial Manager with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

• BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost accounting
• CIMA – Non Negotiable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role at a manufacturing business (factory, plant)
• Manufacturing Industries – Paint;
  Construction Chemicals and Raw Materials
• SAP or similar ERP experience.
