South Tyneside Council Adult Social Care and Commissioning (ASC&C) is on a continued journey of transformation and assurance. We are looking to recruit motivated, innovative, ambitious, person‑centred professionals to be part of our future journey.

We are looking for Social Workers who are aligned to the ambitions and priorities in our Living Better Lives Adult Social Care and Commissioning strategy. Social Workers who can demonstrate they care and want to make a difference to each and every person they come in contact with, challenging the status quo, being strengths based, innovative and committed to rights/risk based practice.

Let’s Talk Team

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a varied team of responders, advisors, social workers, occupational therapists and community partners to prevent, reduce, and delay the onset of social care needs. You'll provide prevention and early intervention services, which promote independence and wellbeing. This is a fast‑paced role where urgent interventions and risk/rights‑based decisions are required whilst ensuring the values of compassion, purpose and clarity are central to our practice.

What

  • Confidence in developing urgent responses, person‑centred conversations which balance risk and rights.
