Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Overview
Interested in behaviour, mental health, and supporting teenagers through critical stages of development? Secondary schools across South Tyneside are seeking a compassionate and proactive Graduate Learning Support Assistant with a Psychology background.
This role offers meaningful, practical experience supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4, including those with SEND and SEMH needs. As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant
, you’ll work directly with students who benefit from consistent, calm, and structured support.
- Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support
- Assist students with emotional regulation strategies
- Support academic progress in core subjects
- Collaborate with pastoral and SEN teams
- Encourage confidence and independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
