Secondary English Teacher

We are recruiting a Secondary English Teacher to work within a well‑organised secondary school in South Shields, teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Plan and assess learning in line with the curriculum

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and progress

• Support pupils with literacy development

• Work collaboratively within the English department

• QTS is essential

• Experience teaching secondary English

• Strong classroom management skills

• Passion for supporting pupil progress

This is a stable long‑term role in a school with strong leadership and a supportive department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
