Secondary SEMH Teacher – Alternative or Specialist Setting
Location: South Shields
Pay: £120–£220 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are recruiting a Secondary SEMH Teacher to work with pupils who require a more personalised and trauma‑informed approach to education. This role supports young people who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education and benefit from smaller class sizes and structured routines.
- Teaching pupils with SEMH needs
- Delivering engaging, adapted lessons
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Building strong, consistent relationships
- Working closely with pastoral teams
- Holds QTS
- Has experience in SEMH or alternative provision
- Is resilient, patient and reflective
- Enjoys working with young people who need extra support
