Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Medical Director to join our Clinical Development team. The Senior Medical Director will provide medical direction, manage and review clinical trials and product development, design clinical development program plans and protocol development, monitor clinical trials, analyze study data, prepare trial reports and regulatory documents, and serve as Development Project Leader for a specific asset.

What you’ll do
  • Apply disease knowledge to clinical research trial development
  • Drive protocol development for clinical studies in collaboration with Clinical Operations and other sub‑team functions
  • Drive preparation of clinical development plans in partnership with cross‑functional teams
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to draft clinical scientific documents such as NDA, Investigator Brochures, Annual Reports (DSUR), and other FDA/HA submissions
  • Contribute to CSR preparation and finalization
  • Contribute to development of CRFs and data review plans
  • Monitor and review safety and efficacy data in ongoing studies
  • Serve as primary clinical point of contact (eligibility questions, AE management…)
  • Develop clinical abstracts and present data at scientific meetings, SIVs, and conduct protocol training
  • Develop and participate in advisory boards
  • Act as a clinical representative in cross‑functional teams
  • Serve as clinical partner to Business Development
Requirements
  • Medical degree required
  • Experience in Phase 3 trial conduct, design, and execution – phase development preferred
  • Thorough understanding of oncology clinical trial design (Phase I‑III)
  • Experience and understanding of clinical trial data monitoring and all aspects of drug development
  • Knowledge of GCP and ICH guidelines
  • A proven self‑starter and team player with strong interpersonal skills who establishes and nurtures highly effective relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders
  • Critical thinker with a solutions‑oriented mindset
  • Self‑motivated to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills and conflict resolution abilities

IDEAYA offers a competitive total‑rewards package that reflects a pay‑for‑performance philosophy. Employees may be considered for merit‑based salary increases, a company discretionary short‑term incentive plan, and discretionary stock‑option awards (based on board approval). The salary range for the Senior Medical Director, Late Development position is $306,000 - $378,000, subject to factors such as location, experience, disease area expertise, industry seniority, educational background, and interview performance.
