AboutThe Role
Sifted is hiring a Service Lead to support daily kitchen leadership and community operations. The role requires a natural inclination towards leadership and responsibility.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead the community team through kitchen opening, shift operations, and kitchen closing.
- Coordinate host load‑in and load‑out.
- Serve as the lead host for lunch or dinner shifts.
- Take service as necessary.
- Ensure the host feedback survey is completed each shift and communicate updates to the Operations Associate daily.
- Coordinate with donation and compost pick‑up partners each day.
- Present to the team as a source of leadership, encouragement, and support.
- Has 1+ year experience in service, catering, or a brand ambassador role, or an equivalent role.
- Is operationally minded, highly organized, and resourceful.
- Can solve problems in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Practices impeccable verbal communication skills.
- Has natural leadership tendencies and enjoys problem‑solving.
- Maintains a high degree of reliability and trustworthiness.
- Compensation: $26 per hour.

This position requires a valid California Food Service card (company‑paid) and the ability to drive a company vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
Work EnvironmentThis role is based both in a commercial kitchen and on‑site in client offices.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and bend, squat, and reach are required.
Pay Range$26 – $27 per hour (South San Francisco, California).
