Job Title: Research Associate I

Employment Type: W2 Contract, 12 Month contract with potential for extension

Pay Rate: $23.76 - $26.76 per hour

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

BEPC is seeking a Research Associate I to support the Complex in vitro Systems (CiS) Lab within Translational Safety. This role focuses on developing and applying advanced 3D tissue models to improve clinical intestinal risk assessments. Ideal for a candidate with strong wet lab experience, particularly in tissue culture and in vitro assays, this is a unique opportunity to work on cutting‑edge projects in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced research environment.

• Support in vitro assay development using human intestinal organoid‑derived models.
• Conduct and analyze cell viability, permeability, and image‑based assays (e.g., immunofluorescence, microscopy).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and culture automation experts to scale assay workflows.
• Present findings and experimental results to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and follow departmental SOPs.
• Work with potentially hazardous materials such as chemo therapeutics, biological agents, and human primary cells.

• BS/MS in biology, bioengineering, pharmacology, or a related field
• 4+ years of wet lab experience in academia, biotech, or pharma
• Extensive hands‑on experience with tissue culture, especially organoids or 3D culture systems
• Proficient in viability assays (e.g., LDH, Cell Titer‑Glo) and ELISA techniques
• Experience with microscopy, imaging, and image‑based analysis
• Strong communication, record‑keeping, and teamwork skills

• Familiarity with single‑cell RNA sequencing, computational analysis, or laboratory automation
• Experience developing CIVMs in a biotech/pharmaceutical setting
• Pay Type: W2 Contract | $23.00 - $26.76 per hour
