Occupational Health Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner

We’re looking for an energetic RN or NP for a 24‑hour per week, part‑time temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s well‑known biopharmaceutical client located in South San Francisco, CA. The position will start by the end of February and will continue until further notice (minimum one month). The expected schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 8‑hour days.

Top Skills You Should Possess
  • Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) license in the state of California
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a nurse/NP in an occupational health, employee health, emergency medicine, urgent care, internal medicine, corrections, school nursing, and/or family practice type setting
  • Audiometry testing (CAOHC/COHC Certified)
  • Trained in spirometry (NIOSH Certified)
  • High level of initiative and sound independent judgment
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees
  • Perform onsite physical assessments (pre‑placement, return‑to‑work, fitness‑for‑duty)
  • Promote wellness and wellbeing initiatives at the site
  • Provide medical testing such as audiograms, vision testing, pulmonary function, respirator fit testing, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and perform limited interpretation of tests
  • TB tests, drug screens, flu shots, and blood draws if needed
  • Charting/documentation of care using EMR system (OHM)
  • Case management
  • Maintain accurate records related to OSHA, workers’ compensation, and corporate reporting
  • Respond to emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as‑needed
What You Need to Bring to the Table
  • Must be able to fluctuate the Tues/Wed/Thurs shift times depending on the needs of the clinic (e.g., 8am–5pm, 6am–2:30pm, 7am–4pm, etc.)
  • Current BLS certification
  • For NP: must be nationally certified (ANCC or AANP) and have NPI
  • For NP: current prescription authority required (DEA highly preferred)
  • Computer skills with previous experience using MS Office suite and EMR systems (OHM experience a plus)
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
