Job SummaryDeskside Support Consultant with hands‑on laboratory environment experience to provide onsite technical support for both corporate and lab‑based users. This role requires a strong understanding of IT support within life sciences settings, including support for specialized lab equipment, scientific applications, and regulated environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with exceptional customer service and the ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced biotech environments.
Responsibilities- Provide onsite deskside support for end users across corporate and laboratory environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues (Windows, macOS, printers, & mobile devices).
- Support lab‑specific systems, including instrument‑connected workstations and scientific software applications.
- Coordinate with lab vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and equipment integration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees, including workstation setup and access provisioning.
- Ensure compliance with IT, security, and regulatory standards common to life sciences environments.
- Escalate complex infrastructure or application issues to appropriate teams.
- 3–5 years of deskside or IT support experience.
- Prior experience supporting life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
- Hands‑on experience supporting lab workstations and scientific instrumentation connectivity.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, O365, endpoint management, and ticketing systems.
- Experience working in regulated environments (GxP knowledge a plus).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting hybrid corporate/lab environments.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in lab environments.
