Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new reactor systems, assemblies, and components.
- Oversee the manufacturing process of machined parts, guiding designs from R&D through to production with an emphasis on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Apply expertise in machine design, mechanics, kinematics, thermals, and fluids to innovative reactor equipment development.
- Manage prototyping, detailed documentation, and fabrication processes, including preparing technical drawings and coordinating with machine shops and external vendors.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing reactor designs by implementing changes to boost productivity and yield.
- Lead multiple engineering projects and mentor team members to achieve project milestones and innovation targets.
Must-Have
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Extensive experience in designing vacuum systems, preferably within the semiconductor or manufacturing sectors.
- High proficiency with CAD modeling tools, especially Solid Works.
- Practical knowledge of common manufacturing methods and industrial machine tools.
Nice-to-Have
Skills:
- Experience with electromechanical components, PLC systems, and industrial controls.
- Solid foundation in thermal and fluid modeling.
- Background in aerospace manufacturing or similar high-tech industries.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and a hands-on, innovative approach to hardware design.
- Experience managing or mentoring engineering teams across multiple projects.
