Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new reactor systems, assemblies, and components.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process of machined parts, guiding designs from R&D through to production with an emphasis on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Apply expertise in machine design, mechanics, kinematics, thermals, and fluids to innovative reactor equipment development.
  • Manage prototyping, detailed documentation, and fabrication processes, including preparing technical drawings and coordinating with machine shops and external vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing reactor designs by implementing changes to boost productivity and yield.
  • Lead multiple engineering projects and mentor team members to achieve project milestones and innovation targets.

Must-Have

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Extensive experience in designing vacuum systems, preferably within the semiconductor or manufacturing sectors.
  • High proficiency with CAD modeling tools, especially Solid Works.
  • Practical knowledge of common manufacturing methods and industrial machine tools.

Nice-to-Have

Skills:

  • Experience with electromechanical components, PLC systems, and industrial controls.
  • Solid foundation in thermal and fluid modeling.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing or similar high-tech industries.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and a hands-on, innovative approach to hardware design.
  • Experience managing or mentoring engineering teams across multiple projects.
