Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) proudly stands as the largest expanded learning provider in San Mateo County, dedicated to empowering 6,700 TK-College students across 30 sites from East Palo Alto to Daly City. POSITION OVERVIEW
BGCP is actively searching for dynamic and enthusiastic Summer Youth Program Leaders. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating enriching in-person academic projects, Camp Galileo activities, and outdoor play sessions during the afternoons for elementary or middle school youth at our Orange Avenue Location in South San Francisco, CA. This position offers a distinct chance to cultivate transformative connections with program participants, acquire essential professional development and leadership skills, and contribute meaningfully to the community.

Pay Rate:$22.00 – $25.00 per hour (Depending On Experience)

What will you do?
- Innovate, execute, and guide captivating and interactive enrichment projects and activities for classes of approximately 20 students.
- Deliver an enjoyable and hands-on outdoor play curriculum.
- Dedicate daily preparation time to organizing materials, reviewing lesson plans, and gearing up for the next day’s activities.
- Apply effective classroom management techniques and behavioral coaching strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Provide support during meal supervision, recess, and other student activities.
- Attend mandatory orientations, training sessions, and team meetings.
- Enforce and adhere to all health and safety protocols.

What qualifications will the ideal candidate have?
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement
- Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with K-8 youth (plus)
