Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

Alvah Contracting is an outside line construction contractor performing work on behalf of PG&E, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As an Estimator, it is your responsibility to thoroughly review, price, and submit proposals for various RFP’s. This includes performing detailed review of job documents, compiling all project costs (including labor, materials, equipment), and assembling proposals for submission. This role directly impacts the profitability of projects and is critical in Alvah’s success.

• Communicate and work directly with customers.
• Review project scope and assemble quantitative take-offs.
• Manage RFP timelines and submit pricing/proposals to customer.
• Update trackers with new and updated project information.
• Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings.
• Review and present bids with leadership.

• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
