Overview
General Description The Marketing Coordinator supports the Mar Comm Specialist and Manager by managing the workflow for all marketing and communications requests. The role handles a high volume of member care plan projects and other Mar Comm initiatives, including reviewing requests, coordinating approvals, tracking progress, and preparing stakeholder updates. The coordinator also partners with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, brand aligned project delivery.
QualificationsThe following represents the typical way to achieve the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to qualify for this position:
- Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in project or operational coordination, preferably within marketing or content, or equivalent preferred. - Skills:
Basic skills in organizing and managing files and requests. - Basic understanding of marketing data to support mailing strategies.
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.).
- Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products.
- Intermediate proficiency skills in project coordination, including tracking tasks, updating project statuses and following established workflows.
- Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of marketing and communications terminology. - Basic knowledge of confidentiality, privacy and HIPAA requirements when working with public-facing materials.
- Working knowledge of how marketing channels (social, print, web) support business objectives.
- Working knowledge of health information confidentiality, privacy, and security best practices.
- Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in daily work.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and support team decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain health information confidentiality and discretion.

- Review and coordinate project requests to ensure all required information is provided.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on project requests.
- Intake and process care plan transition requests, submit requests for language translation or accessibility modifications, and oversee fulfillment through printing.
- Track Mar Comm projects, maintain daily status updates, and prepare status reports for the Manager and stakeholders as requested.
- Identify projects at risk of missing timelines and escalate to the Mar Comm Specialist or Manager as appropriate.
- Support, coordinate, and collaborate printing & mailing projects, with Administration department.
- Safeguard member health information by ensuring its protection and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations.
- Intake and process all general translations and alternative format requests.
- Update Marcomm Dashboard and report project status.
- Adhere to work performance norms and attendance expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- The starting salary range is $26.56 -$33.59 per hour, depending on the candidate’s work experience.
