Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team s role involves preparing and applying coatings to metal components while ensuring compliance with internal and customer specifications. No experience is required for this position and the necessary training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience following specific instructions and with a strong attention to detail. The Production Painter applies prime, topcoat, and Cerakote to detail parts to meet customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Review job card instructions, blueprints, visual aids, etc.

* Understand and apply internal and customer specifications.

* Maintain tolerance of paint thickness application.

* Assists with upholding department 5S standards throughout the day and at the end of shift, including emptying trash and recycling bins and cleaning.

* Perform regular inspection, clean, and maintain all painting equipment.

* Required to wear proper protective equipment while performing job tasks to limit exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles.

* Mix & Measure paint per supplier requirements.

* Maintain proper paint mixing times and shelf life of paint.

* Inventory control of paint and supplies.

* Knowledge to maintain and use HVLP guns, pressure pots, and cup guns.

* Follows paperwork flow, QA and Shop Floor policies and procedures

* Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Preferred experience of one-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Ability to observe details in order to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to understand various measurement systems and how to convert between them.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to look up appropriate tables and charts for necessary time/temperature.
