- If approved for an Associate License, please upload both a copy of your highest university degree (minimum of a bachelor’s degree) AND your AEL eligibility email/notice from the State Board of Education.
- New graduates from teacher preparation programs who have not yet received their official teaching license should upload a conferral letter from their university in place of the license. The conferral letter must be on official university letterhead and include: the degree earned; the anticipated graduation date; the type of license and content area(s) in which the candidate will be recommended to the Utah State Board of Education.

- Teach the core content area(s) outlined in the USBE Core Curriculum, and adopted by the Board of Education, correlated with other approved learning activities.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; provide individualized and small-group instruction; adapt the curriculum to the needs of the child.
- Utilize effective teaching techniques to translate lesson plans into productive student learning experiences; use computers and other technological classroom support equipment as needed.
- Supervise students indoors and outdoors (e.g., recess, gymnasium activities) in all weather and air quality conditions.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere; use appropriate discipline strategies.
- Evaluate students' academic and social growth; maintain records and prepare progress reports.
- Be familiar with and implement Proficiency-Based Learning in evaluating students; be familiar with and implement the Granite Way.
- Communicate with parents and students via conferences, calls, emails, student planners, school website, and other appropriate means; coordinate with professional staff regarding student growth.
- Administer attendance policies and participate in educator evaluation procedures and state/district testing procedures as required.
- Maintain professional competence through in-service activities and self-directed professional growth; participate in faculty meetings and committees as required.
- Select and requisition books and instructional materials; maintain inventory records; model professional and ethical standards.
- Adhere to laws, district policies, and procedures; maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and community; demonstrate professional ethics.
- Be a positive role model; perform other duties as assigned; possess strong oral and written communication and computer skills; work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment and effective classroom management; demonstrate multitasking and time-management skills.
- Complete a USBE-cleared criminal background check; hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; hold a valid Professional Educator License for Utah in the relevant licensure area and endorsement if applicable.
- Supervision of students requires indoor and outdoor responsibilities in all weather and air quality; expect extended periods at a keyboard or workstation; comply with required physical abilities and safety standards.
- Football coaching experience required – preferably at the high school level. Head coaching experience preferred. Related coaching experience must be documented on the resume.
- ESL endorsement preferred
