Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Manchester, NH for a specialty pharmaceutical focused on novel therapies. The role aims to exceed sales goals by delivering real value to customers through differentiated products and services, reporting to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.
Responsibilities- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease state, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities where applicable.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Required: BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
- Required: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
- Required: Must reside within the territory geography.
- Required: Willingness to travel (may include overnights) and occasional out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings.
- Required: Self-starter, goal and results driven with a proven track record of above-average results.
- Required: Ability to interact with healthcare providers and navigate complex markets.
- Note:
Candidates not meeting work experience requirements may be considered for the “Associate” role. - Preferred: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Preferred: Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience.
- Preferred: Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
- Preferred: Reimbursement experience.
- Preferred: Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory.
- Preferred: Strong territory knowledge and relationships.
- Highly clinical, patient-centric and tactical with excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written).
- Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations; strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Competitive, hunter-minded with a proactive approach to sales.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency with travel planning and territory management; computer proficiency.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and regulatory requirements.
- BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
- Travel (may include overnights) and possible out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings.
- Ability to lift and/or move items up to 15 pounds as needed.
