TM position where you can work as much or as little as you like and your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. You will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. This role involves guest interaction, checkout responsibilities, and assisting with store operations.

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can pick up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via the myTime app) that work best with your schedule.
Attendance and reliability are necessary. You may be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule before you can pick up shifts.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
- Assist guests to solve their specific needs and provide knowledge about tools, products, and services available in-store and in the total store.
- Provide support for checkout operations, scanning, bagging, and handling guest items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service accuracy and quality.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
- Know and discuss benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed. Be familiar with fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate, and use them.
- Explain and demonstrate how to use Wallet and features within the Target App.
- Handle returns by following register prompts and work with leaders to resolve guest needs following Target policies and procedures.
- De-escalate situations and recover guest shopping experiences in accordance with store policies.
- Provide easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and work safely at all times.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up, and related duties while complying with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with cash office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
- Perform other duties as required by business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with and helping others, including guests and fellow team members.

- Effective communication, positive language, and attentiveness to guests’ needs.
- Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Attention to detail while multi-tasking.
- Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology, and communicate on multiple devices.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Accurately handle cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office as needed.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lift up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 44 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Active engagement by picking up and working shifts; must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment may be terminated.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
