An experienced registered nurse with a minimum of three years Level 1 trauma center training is needed to provide specialized surgical nursing care in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role focuses on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures at a renowned Level One Trauma Center in South Portland, ME.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing Gynecology and Genitourinary surgeries
  • Utilize advanced skills in robotic-assisted procedures, including Davinci Xi system
  • Manage complex surgeries such as PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies
  • Provide care for diverse patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-pressure environment
  • Participate in one overnight trauma call per week (11p-7a) and work 12-hour shifts on a 1:4 weekend rotation
Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active license
  • Minimum 3 years Level 1 trauma experience in Operating Room nursing
  • Proficiency in robotic surgery (Davinci Xi) and advanced surgical procedures listed above
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Epic
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and on-call shifts
  • Strong communication, accountability, and teamwork skills
Location:

Position is based in South Portland, ME, offering access to scenic coastal living with a blend of urban amenities. The city features beautiful parks, a vibrant dining scene, and easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking and boating.

Schedule and

Hours:
  • 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. day shifts
  • 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • 1:4 weekend rotation with 12-hour shifts
  • One overnight trauma call per week
