OR RN in South Portland, ME

A dynamic opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise to contribute to a fast-paced surgical environment focused on specialty procedures. This contract position is ideally suited for RNs with at least two years of experience and a passion for perioperative nursing excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room, supporting a variety of complex surgical procedures including ENT, dental, facial plastics, trauma, cochlear implants, and head and neck surgeries
• Utilize expertise in fast-paced environments serving patients from pediatric through geriatric populations
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and positive outcomes
• Maintain proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, to ensure accurate documentation and care coordination

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Registered Nurse licensure with a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and AORN certification strongly preferred
• Experience with Level 1 trauma, pediatrics, and specialty surgical cases such as sinus surgery and complex cancer cases
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible, patient-centered team environment

Schedule:

• Shift options include 4x10 or 4x12-hour shifts, flexible between 7:00 AM and 7:30 PM, with occasional weekends and call requirements
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
