Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities
  • Team Lead:
    Train and guide staff, discuss performance, attend and lead staff huddles, and provide support to achieve outstanding results.
  • Financial:
    Post checks in PMS, complete weekly labor tracker, manage payment reports, posts, and receipts.
  • Guest Relations:
    Ensure the hotel is "Guest Ready", maintain cleanliness, address concerns, and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Housekeeping:
    Assign rooms, assist GM with inspections, and support housekeeping duties.
  • Inventory & Vendor:
    Manage inventory, review property email, build vendor and guest relationships, promote teamwork.
  • Sales & Marketing:
    Promote the property, build local relationships, conduct in‑house guest sales initiatives, and increase occupancy.
  • Teamwork:
    Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties, cover shifts to maintain operational continuity.
  • Emergency Procedures:
    Follow property emergency procedures and secure property and guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year experience in hotel leadership (front desk and back‑of‑house)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong team‑building skills
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem‑solving mindset
Physical Requirements
  • Kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, twisting for long periods
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs
