Overview
Title Level Commensurate with Experience (Associate Scientist II or Senior Associate Scientist I). Admera Health is hiring a laboratory-based Scientist to join our Biopharma Services team in South Plainfield, NJ. This is a hands-on role supporting high-impact genomics and next-generation sequencing (NGS) projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. We are open to hiring at either the Associate Scientist II or Senior Associate Scientist I level, depending on experience.
Title and responsibilities will align with education, hands-on expertise, and demonstrated capabilities.

- Perform molecular biology and NGS laboratory workflows (e.g., RNA-seq, WGS, WES)
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples for benchwork
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers and scientific teams
- Participate in troubleshooting and continuous workflow improvement
- Ensure timely, high-quality project delivery in a regulated, fast-paced environment
- Adhere to SOPs, safety requirements, and CLIA/CAP standards
- Execute NGS and molecular biology assays with guidance
- Follow established SOPs and documentation requirements
- Support troubleshooting and workflow optimization efforts
- Collaborate closely with team members to meet project timelines
- Continuously build technical expertise and laboratory skills
- Independently perform benchwork across multiple workflows
- Assist with training and mentoring junior laboratory staff
- Collaborate with lead scientists on troubleshooting and optimization
- Generate reports and communicate results internally and externally
- Serve as a reliable technical contributor within the lab environment
- B.S. or M.S. in Biological Sciences or a related field
- Associate Scientist II:
Typically 2–3 years of hands-on lab experience - Senior Associate Scientist I:
Typically 3–5+ years of lab experience, preferably in a CLIA/CAP environment - Strong foundation in molecular biology (e.g., PCR, library prep, sequencing workflows)
- Hands-on experience with NGS platforms strongly preferred
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in a research-focused, clinical, or biopharma services environment preferred
- Salary:
Starting at $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and role level - Performance-based discretionary bonus eligibility
