Staff Accountant

Our client is a global circular materials technology company. They seek a Staff Accountant to join their South Plainfield, NJ office.

• Deliver complete support to the accounting/controlling department
• Handle activities associated with the Accounts Receivable area, including posting cash receipts, assisting with the collection of past-due invoices, and performing regular reconciliations as necessary
• Manage activities associated with the Accounts Payable area, including posting cash disbursements, preparing payment files, and performing regular reconciliations as necessary
• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the Precious Metals Weight Accounts, including but not limited to monthly reconciliations
• Contribute to the monthly closing process, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, assistance with management reports, and uploading data to the corporate portal
• Execute daily close processes, including the creation, review, and distribution of financial control and credit risk reports to ensure compliance with corporate and local guidelines
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget
• Support the annual financial audit

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of related experience
• High degree of self-motivation
• Detail-oriented and highly analytical
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
