Position: Cello VIolin and Piano Teacher Needed

Overview

A growing music school with two locations is seeking qualified Violin, Cello and Piano teachers for in-person lessons on Mondays through Thursdays. We are looking for highly qualified & versatile instructors to join our team of effective and caring music educators. Instructors will begin on a part-time basis, as employees. Beginning hourly rate is $28-$32.50 with opportunity to discuss a raise in January.

Lessons are to be taught on site, in person. We are in need of one-on-one music teachers as well as assistance with a beginning concert band group class. We provide dental, telemedicine, accrued sick leave, and professional development workshops.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Violin, Cello, and Piano in-person lessons (one-on-one) on site.
  • Possibly assist with a beginning concert band group class.
  • Collaborate with a team to create a high-quality, yet fun, music education environment.
  • Maintain consistency in lessons to support student growth and success.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor s Degree or greater in a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience is a plus.
  • The ability to teach to the individual while still meeting set goals for each student.
  • Good people skills; works well with both children and adults, and enjoys building client relationships.
  • Timely & Reliable: while gigging musicians are appreciated, we are not looking for those who regularly travel or take time off; consistency in lessons is important to student growth and success.
  • Good time management skills.
  • A positive attitude during instruction: the ability to encourage and motivate students to work through weak areas and build on strengths.
  • The desire to collaborate with a team to create a high-quality, yet fun, music education environment.
  • Must love teaching; the desire to make teaching your career is a big plus.
