The Department of Finance at the Stillman School of Business, Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure‑track contract faculty position beginning in the 2026‑2027 academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses across a range of finance areas, as determined by departmental needs.
- Mentor students participating in the CFA Research Challenge and advise finance majors.
- Contribute to service activities at the department, school, university, and professional levels.
- Maintain a strong on‑campus presence in South Orange and actively engage in high‑impact student activities, including recruiting, teaching, mentoring, and academic program development.
- A graduate degree in finance or a related field from an accredited, reputable institution.
- A demonstrated record of effective teaching, or strong potential for excellence in teaching.
- Evidence of the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and members of the professional finance community.
- A genuine commitment to collegiality, student well‑being, and academic excellence.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of appointment.
- A strong record of collaborative teaching, student recruitment, mentoring, and supporting job placement.
- Extensive industry experience in finance; possession of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential is highly preferred.
