The position seeks a faculty member to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics, covering areas such as supply chain analytics, procurement, operations management, and data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities include conducting and publishing scholarly research, engaging with industry to enhance teaching and partnerships, advising students, and contributing to departmental and university service. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in a relevant field for tenure‑track consideration, or a master's degree with significant industry and teaching experience for non‑Ph.D. roles.

Desired qualifications include practical supply chain experience, familiarity with AI applications, curriculum development skills, and a strong research agenda. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected candidates may meet faculty during the Decision Sciences Institute Meeting in Orlando.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development:
    Design, teach, and continually update undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, and related fields. Specific areas of instruction include supply chain analytics, procurement, operations management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Research and Scholarship:
    Engage in scholarly research with a focus on advancing the field of supply chain management and business analytics. Publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Industry Engagement:
    Apply practical experience to enrich the classroom with real-world case studies, guest speakers, and industry connections. Foster relationships between the department and industry partners.
  • Service to the Department and University:
    Participate in departmental and university committees, collaborate with faculty on initiatives, and contribute to the development of academic programs.
  • Advising and Mentorship:
    Provide academic advising to undergraduate and graduate students and support their career development in the supply chain and business analytics fields.
Required Qualifications

For Tenure Track Candidates:

  • Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Quantitative Methods, or a closely related field.
  • ABD candidates will be considered; however, the doctorate must be completed by the appointment date of August 1, 2026.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the university level, either through previous full-time or adjunct instructor roles.

For Non-Ph.D. Candidates:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Quantitative Methods, or a closely related discipline.
  • Significant industry experience applying analytics to challenges in supply chain, finance, marketing, or accounting.
  • Prior teaching experience as a full-time or adjunct instructor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Practical industry experience in supply chain management, with specific expertise in areas such as logistics, procurement, inventory management, or operations.
  • Experience with or knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in supply chain or analytics.
  • Strong ability to teach quantitative aspects of supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate real-world case studies and foster industry relationships in the classroom.
  • Evidence of a strong research agenda and interest in publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Previous experience in curriculum development and course design, especially for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Licenses and Certificates
  • No specific licenses or certificates are required for this position; however, professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or other relevant industry certifications would be considered a plus.
Salary Range

$139,500-$155,000
