Despatch Operative

Overview

We’re supporting a well-established organisation based in the Castlewood area who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their busy and well-organised distribution team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values accuracy, and wants to be part of a supportive and well-structured warehouse environment.

Working within a fast-paced dispatch warehouse, you’ll be responsible for a variety of warehouse and stock-related duties, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Previous experience in a despatch environment
• Has a flexible approach to working hours and workload
• Is proactive, quality-focused and reliable
• Works well within a team and contributes positively to the wider operation
• Can use computer systems and handheld scanners confidently (or is willing to learn)
• Is comfortable working in a busy, warehouse environment

• Picking, packing and dispatching parts to customers and external teams
• Using warehouse systems, scanners and bespoke software to process orders and shipments
• Selecting appropriate carriers and preparing consignments for dispatch
• Managing stock and supporting internal service operations
• Processing returned items in line with company procedures
• Goods receipt and storing stock accurately within the warehouse
• Supporting with basic administrative tasks

• 37.5 hours per week
• 4/5 days per week on a rota - 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday
