We are currently working with an Alternative Provision in Chesterfield (S41) who are looking to take on a Literacy intervention assistant on a temp to permanent, full time basis.

In this AP, all pupils are permanently excluded and may show challenging behaviours. Pupils may have SEND.

The main purpose for this role is to provide literacy support and intervention to pupils who are disaffected and/or have behavioural, emotional, social and learning difficulties, and enable them to improve their literacy skills.

• Provide literacy support and intervention to disaffected pupils with behavioural, emotional, social and learning difficulties.
• Use a phonics programme and a wide range of literacy interventions to support pupils.

• Experience of supporting/responsibility for the delivery of a phonics programme / a wide range of literacy interventions.
• Full UK driving licence and business insurance or willingness to obtain business insurance.
• Updated DBS on the Update Service (we can support you with getting one).

This role will be a full time role and the hours will be 8:30-16:20 and the actual Salary £24,763 - £26,407.
