Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Link3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in DE55. This is a full-time, year-long maternity cover role starting in January 2026
, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in pupils learning and development.

• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range
• Deliver lessons and interventions under the direction of the class teacher or independently as required
• Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the teacher
• Provide high-quality support for pupils academic, social, and emotional development
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience supporting teaching in a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about supporting children s learning and development

• Right to Work: All candidates must demonstrate a valid Right to Work in the UK.
• DBS: Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service
  , or be willing to apply for one prior to starting. The cost of a DBS will be covered by the applicant.
