You will be part of the P&E (Product & Engineering) Team within the Cloud and Network Services (CNS) Division. This team works on several products with the 3

GPP Packet Core and on other automation enablement technologies.

Work on technologies related to:

• Container Technologies (Kubernetes) platforms
• Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning pipelines, and Gen‑AI

Code and work on projects related to the following areas:

• Data analytics/Machine Learning, including Exploratory Data Analysis
• Coding in C++/C and Python used in the implementation of models for data pipelines (training, serving, testing)

Work with technologies such as:

• MLflow, Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, and other related technologies to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and implement machine learning models.

  GPP, which includes implementing use cases in AI/Machine Learning for the Packet Core components including Cloud Mobility Manager for 4G MME (Mobility Management Entity) and 5G AMF (Access Mobility Function), Cloud Mobility Gateway for 4G SGW/PGW and 5G (SMF, UPF)

Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO
27001 program).

Must‑Have:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science, with an emphasis on Data Science.
• Python proficiency, C++/C language knowledge.
• Some experience in data classification models, time series, and large language models, including familiarity with 3
  
  GPP and 4G/5G specifications.
• Experience with designing and implementing AI pipelines including Lang Chain, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) for Large Language Model Deployment including embeddings and RAG (Retrieval Augmentation Generation) based modeling.

Nice‑to‑Have:

• Previous Nokia intern or co‑op experience.
• Networking IP Knowledge (IPv6/IPv4), familiarity with Linux, Git, MLFlow, Air Flow, and Scikit‑Learn.
• Experience with Gen‑AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to aid in the job role (test script development, code development) in an Agile and Dev Ops environment.
• Characteristics of a self‑starter: self‑motivated, able to work independently on complex problems, and eager to learn state‑of‑the‑art technologies and evolving cloud infrastructures.
• Excellent technical skills, demonstrated by working efficiently and being responsible for completing own code quality and/or testing activities given the provided requirements.
• Ability to understand the customer’s use case and create data‑driven models that help the customer manage their network autonomously, with strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information/risks and provide status updates on assigned tasks.
