We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Retail Buying Assistant to join our Retail Procurement team. If you enjoy working collaboratively, building strong relationships, and supporting category performance, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact.

You’ll be part of a friendly, inclusive team that values accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role offers variety and the chance to work closely with Product Managers, Merchandising, Marketing, and Stores to ensure our customers have the products they need, when they need them.

The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday

As a Retail Buying Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting procurement activities and category performance across our retail product ranges. You’ll help manage supplier relationships, analyse sales performance, and assist with planning and promotional activity.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting Product Managers with range selection and product management
  • Assisting with category stock management and planogram preparation
  • Liaising with suppliers and stores to maintain strong relationships and product availability
  • Analysing sales and margin performance and preparing updates for trading meetings
  • Helping plan and monitor sales campaigns and promotional activity
  • Maintaining accurate product and supplier files and supporting general administration
About You
  • Previous experience in retail, commercial, or administration role (or transferable skills from a similar environment)
  • Competent in Excel and sales analysis with strong IT skills
  • Clear and effective communicator across teams and levels
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive with a problem-solving mindset and strong organisational skills
  • Commercially aware and committed to continuous learning
