Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Director for our South Lyon, MI location. The Assistant Director will support center operations, ensuring high-quality education and care for children, fostering a positive and collaborative environment for staff members, and maintaining strong relationships with families. Responsibilities include assisting in curriculum implementation, overseeing daily center operations, supporting staff development, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, and addressing the needs and concerns of children, families, and staff.

This is an on-site role requiring active engagement and leadership in the center.

Qualifications
  • Experience in early childhood education, curriculum planning, and child care program operations
  • Strong leadership, team collaboration, and employee supervision skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, families, and the community
  • Knowledge of state licensing standards, compliance requirements, and child safety regulations
  • Demonstrated organizational and decision-making skills for managing multiple priorities
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within an educational or child care setting is preferred
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is highly desirable
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain
