Overview
We are looking to recruit a Primary Janitor to join our Facilities team based in Crawforddyke Primary School.
Job DetailsLocation: Crawforddyke Primary School, Eastfield Road, Carluke, ML8 4NZ
Hours: 16 hours per week on a term‑time basis
Work Pattern: Monday and Tuesday 7.30am – 4.30pm
Hourly Rate: £14.02 – £14.33 per hour
Temporary – this post is temporary until June 2026.

Responsibilities- Effectively communicate with the Facilities Manager;
Head of Establishment/Lessee’s and Team Members to ensure the customer needs are met on a daily basis. - Log, monitor and report all damage/faults in relation to the fabric and fixtures.
- Liaise with external contractors and lessee’s, ensuring all Health and Safety and security procedures are adhered to.
- Monitor the activities of lessee’s and contractors and report any issues to line manager.
- Ensure unit grounds are kept in a safe and tidy order, free from dangerous articles, ensuring Health and safety of staff and visitors.
- Prepare all documentation relating to the Janitorial and Cleaning function within the premises.
- Carry out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls etc.
- Monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations, reporting any difficult issues to management.
