Cook – Ridgepark

£24,242 pro rata per annum (£12.60 per hour)

Part time position available – small contract can be discussed and flexibility around this if suitable candidate.

This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure check. All new employees must have applied to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of starting in post and be registered within 6 months. Scottish Autism covers all costs of PVG membership and SSSC registration for employees.

Shift times: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (weekday); 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (weekend).

Responsibilities
  • Work within a small team to provide nutritious meals for individuals we support.
  • Plan healthy and varied menus, carefully considering special diets.
  • Prepare a full range of meals for supported individuals and organise the serving of meals.
  • Ensure kitchen preparation and storage areas are clean and hygienic.
Qualifications and training
  • Prior experience is desirable but not essential; in-house mentor with wealth of knowledge and experience available.
  • Scottish Autism will supply all relevant training.
  • PVG Disclosure check required; follow-up registration with the SSSC within the stated timelines.
