Position: SLLC 3538 Tutor (Keyboard)
Location: Lanark

Position Overview

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are recruiting a qualified keyboard tutor to teach both children and adult classes at Lanark Memorial Hall.

Job Details

Location:

Lanark Memorial Hall, St Leonard Street, Lanark

Hours:

3.3 hours per week (annualised)

Shift pattern:
Tuesday 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Duration:
Temporary until 30 September 2026

Salary: £17.72 – £18.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver an ongoing program of progressive keyboard classes and courses for a wide range of age groups.
  • Teach one-off workshops and festivals across South Lanarkshire.
  • Support the broader leisure and cultural activity programme.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualified keyboard tutor with experience teaching both children and adults.
  • Desirable to travel throughout South Lanarkshire.
  • Must comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; the role is regulated work with children and adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Act 2007.
  • Required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check before a formal offer of employment is made.
  • Foreign police check possible if worked abroad 3+ months in last 10 years.
