Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T3452) rting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $20.00 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
- When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events.
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
- Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet.
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.
- Attempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. Work in a safe manner; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success.
- You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).
- Effective communication, welcoming attitude toward guests and team members, attention to detail, and ability to educate guests about products and services.
- Training will help teach you what you need to know to be a Guest Advocate.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Work both independently and with a team; stay focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
- Work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
